The wheat is headed out and looking like it will be a good crop. It’s nice to watch the field ripple and roll when the wind snakes across it. I still say it will be a June harvest but some are saying it will be earlier. Historically, we have always harvested in June but everything is
so early this year. Whenever it is ready, I hope to be ready. We have had some good rains to give everything a drink without causing any damage. Too much water is only good to fill up the pond. Thankfully, we were able to get more vegetable seeds in before the rain. Some of the things we planted were beans, cow peas, carrots, cucumbers, okra, cantaloupes, squash, the last of our sweet corn plantings, and sunflowers.
